PPM Grace Period Configuration – Separate Schedule Date and Due Date
PPM Grace Period Configuration – Separate Schedule Date and Due Date
Introduction
We are pleased to introduce the PPM Grace Period Configuration feature in FacTech CAFM.
With this enhancement, organizations can now configure a Grace Period for each PPM frequency, allowing the Scheduled Date and Due Date to be maintained separately.
This provides maintenance teams with additional flexibility to complete preventive maintenance within an approved time window while ensuring accurate compliance tracking and operational planning.
What is a PPM Grace Period?
A Grace Period is the additional number of days allowed after the scheduled date to complete a PPM without considering it overdue.
The system automatically calculates the Due Date based on the configured grace period.
Due Date Calculation
Due Date = Scheduled Date + Grace Period
For example:
- Scheduled Date: 1st August
- Grace Period: 7 Days
- Due Date: 8th August
This means the PPM can be completed anytime between the scheduled date and the due date.
Why Use a Grace Period?
Configuring a Grace Period helps organizations:
- Separate the Scheduled Date from the Due Date.
- Provide maintenance teams with additional flexibility.
- Reduce unnecessary overdue PPMs.
- Improve preventive maintenance compliance.
- Support site-specific operational requirements.
- Ensure better maintenance planning and execution.
How to Configure the PPM Grace Period
Step 1: Navigate to Settings
- Login to the FacTech CAFM Portal.
- Navigate to Asset & PPM.
- From the left-side menu, click Setup.
- Open the Settings page.
Step 2: Configure the Grace Period
Locate the PM Grace Period section.
Here, you can configure the grace period (in days) for each PPM frequency.
For example:
| PPM Frequency | Grace Period |
|---|---|
| Monthly | 7 Days |
| Quarterly | 10 Days |
| Half-Yearly | 15 Days |
| Yearly | 20 Days |
You can configure different grace periods based on your organization’s maintenance policy.
After entering the required values, click Save.
When Will the Changes Take Effect?
The configured Grace Period will be applied to newly generated PPM schedules after the settings are saved.
Existing PPM schedules will continue to follow their previously generated due dates.
