How to Cancel a Complaint?

In the Factech application, complaints cannot be deleted once they have been created. To ensure data integrity and maintain an audit trail, the system provides an option to Cancel a complaint instead of deleting it.

If a complaint is created by mistake, is no longer valid, or does not require further action, users with the appropriate permissions can change its status to Cancelled. This preserves the complaint history while preventing any further processing of the complaint.

Step 1: Log in

Log in to the Factech application using a user account that has permission to change the complaint status.

Step 2: Open the Complaint Dashboard

Navigate to:

Complaint → Complaint Dashboard

Step 3: Search for the Complaint

Locate the complaint that you want to cancel. You can use the available search or filter options to find the required complaint quickly.

Step 4: Edit the Complaint

Click the Edit button available on the right side of the complaint.

Step 5: Change the Status

On the complaint details page:

Click the Cancel from the dropdown list.

Verify the complaint details before proceeding.

Step 6: Save the Changes

Click Update Complaint to save the changes.

The complaint status will be updated to Cancelled.

Notes
Only users with the required permissions can cancel a complaint.
Once a complaint is cancelled, it will no longer remain active for further processing.
If the Cancel option is not visible, contact your system administrator to verify your user permissions.
