Session Timeout: Why It Happens and How to Reduce Frequent Logins

Overview
To keep your account secure, the system automatically ends your session after 2 hours of inactivity. This helps protect your data if a device is left unattended or a browser is closed accidentally.

Why Session Timeout Exists

Session timeout is a standard security practice. If a session stays open too long without activity, someone else could potentially access your information. The timeout ensures your data remains protected.

How Long You Stay Logged In

Your session remains active as long as you interact with the platform. After 2 hours of no activity, the system logs you out and asks you to sign in again.

Tips to Avoid Frequent Logins

  • Interact with the platform within the 2-hour window to keep your session active.

  • Keep the browser tab open if you plan to return shortly.

  • Maintain a stable internet connection to avoid unintended session drops.

  • Use your username and password to sign in instead of OTP for a quicker, smoother login experience.

Can the Timeout Be Extended?

Not at this time. Longer idle sessions increase the risk of unauthorized access. The current 2-hour limit aligns with security best practices.

Working on Long Tasks?

Save your work regularly. If you expect to be inactive for a while, plan to refresh the page or perform a quick action before reaching the 2-hour mark.

Unexpected Logouts

If you are logged out earlier than expected, contact support with details such as device, browser, and approximate time of the issue. This helps us troubleshoot quickly.
