Automatic reading from an online smart meter is the best way to minimize human effort.\u00a0 Until meters are not online, we can schedule the Reading Log job in Kaizen\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

1. Add Meter as assets<\/h3>\n

Refer Add Asset<\/a> to add meter so that QR code scan start working for that meter.<\/p>\n

2. Map Reading Log Book<\/h3>\n

Go to Asset -> Log Book then select Readings<\/p>\n

3. Cofigure Meter settings<\/h3>\n

When you will click Readings, you will see a UI to add multiplication factor and map the unit ( Customer) against that Meter asset.<\/p>\n

mf ( multiplication factor ) is 1 by default. You need to configure it as per meter, For example if you want energy consumption in KW, but meter is storing reading in MW mf will be 1000.<\/p>\n

You can select respective Unit against which that Meter is mapped. This is helpful where you are generating bills. This will automatically update consumption against that Unit and Billing Service<\/a> will use the consumption accordingly.<\/p>\n

4. Add Meter Reading Schedule<\/h3>\n

Your team don’t miss to take reading. Add new schedule for the Meter Asset. Refer\u00a0How to add Schedule\u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n

Don’t forget to assign that PM to the Staff(s)<\/p>\n

5. Tag Meter with QR Code<\/h3>\n

Take printout of QR code against the Meter Asset. Refer\u00a0How to Print QR Code in Asset Management<\/a><\/p>\n

Attach QR against the Meter. Now assigned staff can just scan the QR code and note Meter Readings.<\/p>\n

Note:- In case there are multiple meters at one place say panel. You can generate QR code for the location, then all Meter readings can be added by scanning the Location QR Code. Refer\u00a0How to print QR Code for locations?<\/a><\/p>\n

6. Scan and log Meter Reading<\/h3>\n

Now your staff is reading to scan and start taking meter logs.<\/p>\n
